Writing is an art form, and
all art forms come with techniques, rules, and
conventions. We follow a few simple rules here.
Your writing is your own, but we reserve the
right to deny your story if it does not follow
the guidelines set here.
1)
No pornography, slash, yaoi, or any kind
of sexual material whatsoever. Yes,
everyone loves a guilty pleasure, no, you will
not find it here. End of story.
2)
Try to avoid over-the-top violence. A
fight scene is okay, but we don’t want twelve
pages of description of the wounds. Or the
blood. Blood and gore makes php queasy, and we
don’t want it throwing up all over your nice
pretty story.
3)
Have fun. This is a site for creative
expression, not to make you write formula
novels.
If you don’t want to take
the time to read those three rules or use your own
common sense, here’s the general rule of thumb:
1)
Everything on this site should be
suitable for a 13 year old to read. An innocent
13 year old.
Those are your general
rules for your stories. There are a few site
rules to follow.
1)
All stories are moderated. Your story
does not go up unless one of the mods has read
it. Please do not email us constantly about it,
we’ll get around to it when we get around to it.
We try to check the site at least daily. We are
real people, who have lives.
2)
Please do not submit stories more than
once. If it has been more than a week and you
haven’t seen your story up, email us first.
We’ll tell you what needs to happen.
3)
The mods are the law here. We reserve the
right to take down your story without notice.
Because we’re nice, we’ll tell you why we took
it down.
4)
Your IP address is being logged. This is
for security purposes only.
5)
All stories must be YOUR original
creation. If we find out that you posted a story
that is not yours, it is coming down. We will
also ban you and your IP from the site and
delete all of your stories. There is no
appealing this decision.
We follow the
three-strikes-you’re-out rule. It’s very simple.
If we record three offenses or misuses of the
site, you will be permanently banned. Keep in
mind that each offense comes with a punishment
all its own.
We reserve the right to
change these rules without notice, but because
we’re nice people, we’ll probably post something
on the front page.
